Dhalai Parer Rupkotha
In the year 2002, one of the publishing houses of Agartala, ‘Bhasha Prakashani’, published seven short stories combined in the first storybook – ‘Dhalai Parer Rupkatha’. And this is the first storybook written by Jahar Debnath, which became very popular among the writers and readers. The book reached the hands of many readers at book fairs in Kolkata beyond the borders of Tripura. Within a year, 1500 copies of the book were sold. Not only selling books, but as a talented writer, Jahar Debnath established himself in the heart of the literary world.

The book is about Jahar Debnath’s first and surely successful novel ‘Samyavadi’. From the very beginning, this communist Bengali literature was much discussed and criticized by the readers. Published in 2018 by Shrot Prakashan, one of the leading publishing houses in Tripura and North-East India. With the publication of this, Tripura is also in Assam, Kolkata, West Bengal, and in Bangladesh, the witty reader ranks at the peak of popularity. The novel also sparked a storm of discussion and criticism on social media. In 2018, one of the novels of the novelist Jahar Debnath, ‘Pahari Phul’ was published at the Kolkata Book Fair. The novel was published by Mrs. Deepsikha Poddar on behalf of ‘Bangla Kobita Academy’, one of the publishing houses in Kolkata. With the publication of this novel, it was appreciated in other states including Kolkata, and among the readers. Literary Deepshikha Poddar Mahadaya has written about this novel-
